Pet owners have a chance to get their animals vaccinated for rabies at a low cost this weekend.
Rabies clinics will be ongoing throughout the region on Saturday, September 30th, with shots for cats or dogs costing just $30.
Hastings and Prince Edward Public Health says providing the vaccinations is the best way to reduce the occurrence of rabies in pets and prevent the transmission of the disease to humans.
Since the clinics were started in 1999, HPE Public Health has vaccinated more than 75,000 pets in the region.
