The Wellington Dukes have suspended two players indefinitely, following what the team calls “a regrettable incident” that happened on the weekend.
GM Ryan Woodward says the names of the players won’t be released, due to privacy concerns and the team won’t comment any further.
Woodward did say in a statement this afternoon “both players have taken full responsibility for their actions” and the team “plans to handle these issues swiftly and effectively, recognizing that both men are good people that made a very unfortunate and disappointing decision”.
The Dukes are in action next on Thursday when they travel to Newmarket.
You can hear that game on 800 CJBQ starting at 7:20 p.m.
