An inquest will be held in Napanee next month in connection to the death of an inmate at Joyceville Institution, in September 2015.
David Robert Hagen was found unresponsive in his cell on September 17, 2015 and CPR attempts were unsuccessful.
The inquest, which will be led by Dr. Gautam Walia and counsellor Jennifer Ferguson, will look into the circumstances surrounding Hagen’s death and make recommendations aimed at preventing similar deaths.
It starts at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 19th at the Napanee Courthouse and should take just one day, with seven witnesses taking the stand.
