A pair of longtime, dedicated volunteers, have signed on to lead the Community Care Northumberland hospice campaign.
The organization is trying to build a new hospice care centre which would be partially funded by the provincial Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.
Gord and Patti Ley have previously served as co-chairs of the fundraising communications committee for the $30 million Cobourg Community Centre and have also previously chaired the Northumberland United Way’s annual campaign.
Individually, Gord and Patti each bring a diverse portfolio of volunteer and fundraising experience that, Community Care staff say, will greatly benefit the cause.
Their first job is to put together a campaign cabinet team with those details to be finalized in the fall.
