Marmora and Lake Council has selected the person who will fill the council seat, left by longtime councillor, Elaine Jones.
Judy Durbatch will fill the seat effective immediately after council formalized her nomination this afternoon.
Durbatch is a long-time resident of Marmora and Lake and has worked for the municipality for 26 years.
She started as an administrative assistant and worked as the Municipal Clerk from 2006 until she retired in December of 2013.
