Wanted Male-Arrested
Belleville, Ont – On the 9th of September at 9:20 p.m. members of the Belleville Police Service Street Crime Unit located a wanted male in the Bleecker Ave. and Station Street area. An 18-year-old male was arrested on the outstanding warrant and further charged with breaching a probation order. He will be held for a bail hearing on the 11th of September 2017.
Impaired driver
Belleville – Ont. On the 9th of September shortly before midnight police stopped a vehicle on Moira St. E. with regards to a traffic violation. The investigating officer detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on the male driver’s breath and issued him a roadside demand resulting in a fail. The 32-year-old Belleville resident was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he was later released on a promise to appear with a September court date charged with driving while over the legal limit.
Breach of Undertaking
Belleville, Ont. – On the 10th of September 2017 shortly after midnight, police responded to a disturbance call at a north end business where a male was being subdued by staff for causing a disturbance while inside the establishment. The 19-year-old Belleville resident was arrested by police upon their arrival. Investigation revealed that the male was on an undertaking for current charges before the court and was in violation of his conditions with regards to his curfew and non-alcohol consumption. He is being held for a bail hearing on the 11th of September 2017 on charges of two counts of breach of his undertaking.
Assault
Belleville, Ont. – On the 10th of September 2017 at approximately 1:20 a.m. police responded to a call of an assault at a Cannifton Rd. address where one male assaulted another male in a parking lot. As a result of their investigation, police arrested a 40-year-old Belleville resident who is being held for a bail hearing on the 11th of September on charges of assault and breach of probation for not keeping the peace and being of good behaviour.
Public intoxication
Belleville, Ont. – At approximately 2:00 a.m. on the 10th of September police responded to a disturbance call at a north end establishment where two males were arrested for public intoxication. Both males were released in the morning with fines for being intoxicated in a public place.
