2017 continues to be a healthy year for real estate sales, but the market is starting to soften slightly, according to the Quinte and District Association of Realtors.
President Cathy Polan says total dollar sales for August were down just below 3% compared to last year, coming in at about $94 million.
Residential dollar sales were down 16.5% for the August period, compared to the same month last year.
253 residential units were sold last month, compared to 315 in August 2016 and listings were down 26.5% as well, with 784 homes on the market.
The total active listings were down about 19.1% as well.
