Council and staff in the City of Quinte West are getting more than they bargained for as work proceeds to upgrade lighting at new playing fields in Trenton’s Centennial Park.
When work got underway for lights for soccer and ball fields, it was discovered the park’s electrical system was old and not powerful enough to support both current and future needs in the park.
At tomorrow night’s meeting, council will see a staff report outlining necessary upgrades to the electrical system and light pole footings throughout the park, costing a total of $770,000.
Quinte West council meets tomorrow evening at 6:30 at City Hall.
