A severe thunderstorm warning issued for the Quinte region has ended.
Early Thursday afternoon, Environment Canada issued the weather alert stating Belleville, Quinte West, Northumberland County, Prince Edward County and Napanee can expect severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, frequent lightning, large hail and heavy rain.
About an hour later the warning ended.
However Environment Canada states there is still a 60% chance of showers and thunder showers Thursday afternoon and evening.
