An older home on the shores of the Bay of Quinte in Prince Edward County was destroyed by fire Monday night.
Crews from stations 5,6,8 and 9 responded just before 9 o’clock to 1730 County Road 3, commonly known as Rednersville Road, to find the house engulfed in flames.
Prince Edward County Deputy Fire Chief Robert Rutter says the residents made it out of the house safely and no one was injured.
Two trailers renovated into “chip trucks” parked near the house were also destroyed.
The fire was under control by around 10:30 p.m. Crews remained on scene all night dousing hot spots and a full fledged investigation into the cause will
The house was located just west of Campbell’s Orchards.
