Pending league approval, the Wellington Dukes hockey team has new ownership.
It has been confirmed that Ken Clement owner of ABcann Medicinals in Napanee, will take over majority share from current owner Michael Mulvihill. Clement tells Quinte News Mulvihill, will continue to have a stake in the team.

This week, Clement is heading to Penticton BC to be inducted to the BC Hockey Hall of Fame. He played junior hockey in western Canada.
Sources say the OJHL has given the deal preliminary approval, however final approval will not take place until league meetings at the end of August.
Mulvihill says he has no comment on anything regarding team ownership.
He did tell us, Thursday at a press conference at 11:00 a.m., they will address changes to hockey operations.
Sources tell us that Scott McCrory, OJHL Board of Directors Chairman and former head coach of the Whitby Fury will be the new head coach.
Meantime, Ryan Woodward will be named as General Manager and Associate Coach.

The sources also tell us local business owner Randy Uens will act as a liaison with the new ownership team.
The source confirmed there is no intention to move the team out of The County.
The announcement of hockey operation changes side is Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Essroc Arena. The public is invited.
