Youth in Belleville now have somewhere to spend their afternoons and evenings in a productive way, after the Belleville Youth Centre officially opened its doors, on Wallbridge Crescent Tuesday.
Youth 12-18 can sign up for a free membership at the centre which is open most weekdays from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., except Wednesday, when it’s open 2:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Program Coordinator Bobby Hristova tells Quinte News, there’s plenty for young people in the city to do to occupy their time and develop different skill sets.
The facility also features an art studio and youth room, for board games, meetings and other activities.
Hristova adds it’s extremely important to add the unique facility to the community.
The youth centre came together thanks to a number of partnerships from community agencies, including the John Howard Society, Highland Shores Children’s Aid, Children’s Mental Health, Youth Hab and more.
