The Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall have arrived in the Quinte region.
Prince Charles and Camilla landed at CFB Trenton just after 11:30 a.m. Friday and were greeted by 8-Wing Commander Col. Colin Keiver, base officials and media.
As Quinte News reporter David Foot explained the royal couple met with 8-Wing search and rescue and communications members ahead of planned demonstrations.
Royal couple arrives at Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial
Quinte West mayor Jim Harrison called it a proud day for the City.
The itinerary states the royal couple will visit the booths, stop to chat with vendors and artisans at the Market. Lt.-Gov. Judith Guichon, Premier Kathleen Wynne and Minister of Agriculture Jeff Leal are also to be in attendance.
Following the market visit the royal couple will make a stop at Norman Hardie Winery and meet local vintners and farmers before heading to Ottawa for the 150th Canada Day celebrations on Saturday.
