Brighton council has signed off on agreements that will lead to the provincial government granting some money for infrastructure and community safety.
Under the provincial Clean Water and Wastewater Fund, Brighton will receive $207,000 for the reconstruction of Orchard Crescent.
The close to $600,000 project will involve new water/sewer hookups as well as new curbs and sidewalks.
Meanwhile, the province is granting Brighton $35,000 under the 1000 Officers program, helping pay some of the cost for an extra OPP officer to work in the community.
