More small bus shelters are likely on the way for riders of Belleville Transit buses.
At its meeting tomorrow, Belleville council is expected to approve a staff recommendation to
accept the lowest of 3 tenders for the purchase and installation of 10 shelters, including a bench, in the city.
Daytech Limited of Toronto’s bid was almost $107,000.
There were 2 other tenders on the project.
If approved, the shelters would be located at North Front Street at College near Metro, North Front and Tracey Street,
Bridge Street West and Sidney, Dundas and MacDonald, Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, Victoria Avenue and Farley at
Moira Secondary, Bell Boulevard at BMO, Dundas and Herchimer Avenue, North Front and Donald Street, and Dundas
and Avondale Road.
