The Shannonville World’s Fair has been a part of the Quinte community for 162 years, but not this year.
The organizing committee has announced they do not have the volunteer numbers to pull it off for 2017.
Tyendinaga Township Clerk Steve Mercer says despite that, there will be some events on Saturday August 26th.
Mercer says he cannot remember a time the fair did not run except perhaps back during World War I or II.
