A Marmora woman has been found guilty on six of seven charges connected to a 2015 beating and kidnapping case.
It took a Belleville jury two-and-a-half hours to convict Jessica Youmans of robbery, assault, kidnapping, uttering threats, possessing a dangerous weapon and breaking and entering.
She was found not guilty on a count of forcible confinement.
Youmans was arrested after an overnight incident in January 2015, when she was accused of breaking into the home of Stan McGovern and his girlfriend, and eventually beating him, taking him to her home and forcing him to pay back $200 she alleges he stole.
McGovern did admit to being in Youmans’ house earlier in the evening and destroying some of her property, which was her motive for coming after him.
Sentencing is set for September 6, 2017 and you can click here to see Quinte News’ full archived coverage of the case.
