We’re still a couple of days away from the “official” start of summer, but it sure felt like a mid-summer day yesterday.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, the mercury climbed to 28.6 degrees.
That was close to the record high for a June 11 in the Quinte region, which was 30 degrees celsius, set not long ago in 2012.
The summer solstice officially kicks in at 12:24 a.m. next Wednesday.
