Nicholson Catholic College’s Nate St. Romain came up just short of his goal, but still ran a personal best, picking up a silver medal at the OFSAA Track and Field Championship.
After cruising to victory in his heat, St. Romain finished the senior boys 400m final in a time of 54.19 seconds, just behind Austin White of St. Michael’s Catholic High School of Kemptville.
St. Romain tells Quinte News he’s happy with his performance, but felt slightly off on his stride count.
St. Romain says he found plenty of motivation running on his home track.
St. Romain will shift his focus to qualifying for Team Ontario and making a trip to nationals in Ottawa in July, before returning to NCC for another school year in September.
