Representatives from the Canadian Red Cross will be in Brighton next week to help residents who have been affected by the recent flooding.
Red Cross staff will provide residents with information and registration for flood clean-up kits, at King Edward Park, on Monday, June 5th and Tuesday, June 6th, between 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Staff will also be visiting affected areas and meeting with residents who can’t attend.
Meanwhile, the municipality says sandbagging efforts by its staff and volunteers continue to hold back floodwaters and protect many homes in town, as water levels are expected to stay high for the foreseeable future.
If you need more information on sandbagging procedures and the Red Cross visit you’re asked to contact the Brighton Fire Department’s non-emergency line at 613-475-1744, or click here to visit the municipal website.
