A Belleville woman has been charged with manslaughter in the death of 24-year-old Aaron Rushlow.
In October 2016, city police were called to Walmsley Place where they found Rushlow lying in the street with serious injuries. He was transported to Kingston General Hospital where he later died.
Following a month long investigation, 18-year-old Shelby Zielski-Thibault, was charged with criminal negligence causing death, dangerous driving causing death, leaving the scene of an accident and breaching probation.
In March 2017, a charge of manslaughter was laid against Zielski-Thibeault.
A pre-trial hearing will continue on June 5.
Meanwhile, a trial date of November 9 has been set for Zielski-Thibault on previous charges of operating a motor vehicle dangerous to the public and assaulting a police officer that were laid in 2016 in a separate case.
