A couple of Belleville councillors are wondering why there’s still so much construction work in parts of the downtown revitalization project that are supposed to be finished.
Councillors Miller and McCaw pointed to a few locations in the completed phases 1 and 2 where work on sidewalks or the street continues.
Manager of Engineering Ray Ford explained that the crews were fixing up cracks, or replacing tiles or bricks in trouble spots.
Ford said such minor issues were normal with these kinds of projects and the repair costs were covered under a 2 year warranty.
