It was a successful day Friday for three local walkers.
Jennifer Cobb along with friends Sally Peck and Geraldine Jenkison all teamed up to walk under 10-and-a-half hours and around 49 kilometres across the Millennium Trail in Prince Edward County. They started from the County trail in Consecon and ended at Highway 49 in Picton.
This was done in a fundraising effort to help resurface the trail. Cobb and Peck walked the full length, while Jenkison joined about 18 kilometres in.
Cobb tells Quinte News how much they raised.
She adds that Mother Nature co-operated for them throughout the day.
Cobb says she was a little sore, with a bit of blistering on her feet, but admits both she and her friends were in pretty good shape at the end.
