The Trenton Golden Hawks did something 127 other Junior “A” hockey teams in Canada did not do….play in the RBC Cup. But that’s where it ends. A 4-0 loss to Penticton leaves Trenton the odd team out at the National Championships.
The loss ends a marathon 9 month season for Trenton and brings an end to defenceman Nick Boddy’s 3 years with the Golden Hawks.
It was Trenton’s second straight trip to the RBC Cup but Co-Captain Lucas Brown says they expected to go farther.
The Penticton Vees, Terrebonne Cobras, Brooks Bandits and the host Cobourg Cougars advance to Saturday’s semi finals for the RBC Cup.
