According to a survey, residents in Quinte West would like to see the OPP concentrate on enforcing the speed limits in the city.
And, the Quinte West OPP will accommodate that request in the coming months.
Meanwhile, the number of speeding tickets handed out in the first quarter of this year was down 70% from the same time period last year, to 182 from 589.
Detachment Commander Inspector Christina Reive says officers were focusing on education and distracted driving enforcement rather than nabbing speeders in the first quarter, adding that that will change.
