In a span of 4:40 seconds early in the third period, Trenton watched a 2-0 lead turn into a 3-2 deficit and eventually a 3-2 loss to the Terrebonne Quebec Cobras. Terrebonne scored 3 goals on four shots on Hawks goaltender Chris Janzen. Trenton co-captain Lucas Brown tried to explain it.
Chris Sekelyk gave Trenton an early lead and assisted on a goal by Anthony Sorrentino. Gabriel Pacquin started the comeback at 1:58 of the fateful third. Pierre Anthony Martineau tied it at 4:44. Chad Pietroniro put the Cobras ahead to stay at 6:38.
Trenton has 1 point following a 3-2 overtime loss to host Cobourg on Saturday. Terrebonne is 1-1.
The Golden Hawks are off today then take on the number one team in the country, the Brooks Alberta Bandits tomorrow afternoon.
