Downtown Belleville was the scene of much stomping and clomping Saturday as men donned bright red high heels in support of battered women and their children.
It was the annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes event.

All funds raised go toward the Three Oaks Foundation, which provides shelter and other
help to abused women and their children in Belleville, Quinte West, Hastings and Prince Edward counties.

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes raised $22,000 last year. This year’s total isn’t known yet.
