A new paramedicine project may be in the works for the Hastings-Quinte area.
The Hastings Paramedic Services ran a federal paramedicine pilot project, having paramedics make home calls on selected clients to lessen the need for them to go to hospital emergencies.
Now the Hastings-Quinte Emergency Services committee has decided to apply for a similar provincially-funded project.

He says the program would also involve others as well.
The program would not affect the ambulance paramedic staff.
