Quinte West OPP found more than they bargained for when responding to a shoplifting call at the Trenton Walmart late yesterday afternoon.
On the way to the store, they spotted a vehicle believed to be driven by people suspected of stealing from Walmart.
Officers stopped the vehicle and seized several knives or similar items and a quantity of drugs, including marijuana and cocaine.
38 year old Byron Shallock of Quinte West has been charged with theft under $5,000, unauthorized possession of a weapon and illegal drugs.
28 year old Sabrina Tremblay of Quinte West faces similar charges.
