The Knights of Columbus in Trenton made a generous donation to the local Alzheimer Society’s Project Lifesaver and Finding Your Way initiatives.
Last week the service club donated $10,000 to the campaign, which helps to keep people with dementia and memory loss safe.
Project Lifesaver uses radio transmitter bracelets to keep track of patients and is operated in partnership with Quinte West OPP.
The Finding Your Way program, meanwhile, educates people with dementia, their families and caregivers on how to live safely within the community.
The Alzheimer Society says you can make an impact with these programs as well, by participating in the Quinte West Walk for Alzheimer’s at Centennial Park this Saturday.
