Despite the wet weather the Butterfly Run this past weekend in Belleville was able to raise almost $20,000 more than it did last year.
The event at West Zwick’s Park was raising funds for families who have experienced pregnancy, infant, or child loss at Belleville General Hospital.
Organizers say the event brought in $95,000 this year, compared to $76,000 last year.
This was just the second time the Butterfly Run had been held locally.
