The season began with 132 teams. It’s now down to the final five to determine the best Junior “A” Hockey team in Canada. The field is set for the RBC Cup beginning Saturday in Cobourg.
The Trenton Golden Hawks will be joined by the Brooks (Alberta) Bandits, the Penticton (B.C.) Vees, the Cobras de Terrebonne from outside of Montreal and the host Cobourg Cougars.
The Golden Hawks go in as the Central Canadian Champions following their stunning 2-1 win over Georgetown Saturday night. Trenton became the first team in 23 years to win back to back Dudley-Hewitt Cups. Trenton’s first game at the RBC Cup is Saturday night at 7:30 against host Cobourg. (7:20 on CJBQ)
