Warnings have been going out to shoreline residents from local environmental agencies, about recent potential flooding and high water levels, but now a bulletin is going out to boaters on the Bay of Quinte as well.
Quinte Conservation says recent high water levels, combined with wind and waves, have led to more debris in the bay, including logs and other materials.
Boaters and residents in general should be taking extra precaution around boat launches and docks while water levels are high.
QC is also reminding residents about the water safety statement which is in effect and the fact that current high water levels make waterways more dangerous for all users, like anglers, swimmers, children and pets.
