The Buckland Cup Final series is now a best of five affair.
Backup netminder Elliot Gerth turned in a 31-save shutout performance in relief of injured starter Chris Janzen to help the Trenton Golden Hawks take down the Georgetown Raiders 3-0 Saturday night in Game 2.
Trenton Coach/GM Jerome Dupont talks about Gerth’s stellar start and the other key cogs that contributed to the win.
Jordan Chard, Lucas Brown and Anthony Sorrentino all scored for the G-Hawks in the second period. Final shots favoured Georgetown however, 31-30.
The two teams get a two-day break for Easter before returning to the ice for Game 3 Tuesday night at 7:30 in Georgetown. CJBQ will have that game for Eastern Overhead Doors.
