Charges laid for uttering threats
A 29 year old woman from Hastings Highlands is facing a handful of charges following a dispute between two females at a school in Bancroft on March 30th.
Bancroft OPP were called to the school and following an investigation it was determined that two females engaged in an inappropriate yelling match.
Laurie Milligan has been charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm and dangerous operation of motor vehicle.
She was released on a promise to appear in court on April 25, 2017.
OPP need help solving break-ins
Bancroft OPP are asking for tips on a trio of break-ins recently.
Sometime between March 20 and March 30 someone stole a flat screen TV from a home in Bancroft.
Then on March 29, police got a report of a break-in at a cottage on Cashel Lake in Tudor-Cashel Township, where the front door was damaged, but nothing was stolen.
Then on April 2, another cottage was entered on Clarke Lake Road in Bancroft, but again, nothing was stolen.
Anyone who might have information on any of the incidents can call Bancroft OPP or Crimestoppers.
Charges laid against aggressive ATV driver
A Bancroft man is facing some charges, after OPP officers spotted an ATV rider driving aggressively on Highway 62 last week.
Patrol officers say the rider was performing stunts and speeding on a portion of Highway 62, on the afternoon of March 29, so they pulled him over.
41 year-old Darrin Longhurst of Bancroft was charged with two counts of stunt driving.
One count is for driving without all four wheels on the ground and the other for speeding more than 50 km/h over the limit.
He’s also been charged with driving with studded tires and has a court date in Bancroft in June.
