The Quinte Access transportation service has been growing substantially over the years and that’s caught the eye of the Federal Government, which handed out another cheque in Quinte West today.
MP Neil Ellis announced $169,941 to go towards the design of a new office and vehicle storage space for Quinte Access.
Along with the new buildings, the money will also be used to buy two specially equipped buses, to improve service and reliability for passengers with accessibility needs.
Both projects are being funded through the Public Transit Infrastructure fund, and are part of more than 300 transit-related initiatives being supported across the country.
