Not even an arsonist could keep the Cobourg Cougars from putting the Wellington Dukes on the brink of elimination.
Former Quinte Red Devil Josh Maguire scored twice as the Cougars downed the Dukes 6-3 to take a 3-0 lead in their OJHL Conference semi final. Cobourg scored 3 unanswered goals in the second while building a 5-1 lead.
Belleville native Brody Morris scored for Wellington. He says a good start in game 4 tonight is critical.
The game was delayed in the third as the building had to be evacuated. A roll of toilet paper was set on fire in a washroom. When the smoke had cleared, fans returned and the game resumed.

Game 4 is tonight at the Essroc Arena at 7:30.
The Trenton Golden Hawks can finish off the Spirit in game 4 tonight in Stouffville. Hawks forward Chris Sekelyk says Trenton is not satisfied being up 3-0.
