A decision on the future of a suspended Bancroft OPP officer is expected later this spring.
Fifty-two-year-old Constable Chris Sheppard was charged with discreditable conduct under the Police Services Act in relation to a charge of sexual assault laid by the OPP in November of 2014.
Sheppard entered into a peace bond in January 2016, and the criminal charge was withdrawn.
A Police Services Act hearing in Kingston ended yesterday and Inspector Charles Young of the OPP’s Professional Standards Bureau says the adjudicator will release his decision in four to six weeks.
In the meantime, Sheppard remains suspended from duty with pay.
