A youngster is said to be recovering from non-life threatening injuries following a head-on collision in Brighton on Tuesday.
As Quinte News reported during Tuesday’s afternoon commute, two vehicles, a car and truck, collided in the area of 15188 County Road 2, west of the town. One of the occupants in the car was a boy roughly nine years of age.
Brighton Fire Chief Lloyd Hutchinson confirmed the boy and his mother were both taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries that are believed to be minor in nature.
The crash happened around 3:35 p.m. and County Road 2 was down to one lane of traffic for part of the evening while investigators went through the scene.
