Ontario’s Premier says the $50 billion spent to repair hydro infrastructure in the province is a major cost for all Ontarians.
In a chat with the Lorne Brooker Show, Kathleen Wynne discussed electricity, renewable energy, along with the economy.
The Premier says they cancelled building new nuclear power supplies, they are supporting low income Ontarians and have cut the 8% HST on hydro bills. She says that is still not enough.
She says the savings will be on average 25%.
Wynne adds that the distribution charges will change in portions of rural Ontario.
Education, the economy and other topics were also covered in the chat.
