Light snow started to fall in the Quinte region late Monday night and we’ll be seeing a lot of it before it tapers off to flurries tomorrow.
In the 401 corridor anywhere from 10 to 20 cm is expected.
But further south in Prince Edward County and in the Napanee and Kingston areas, up to 30 cm of snow could fall before all is said and done.
To add insult to injury, there will be strong winds which of course will cause blowing snow and poor visibility.
It would be wise to avoid driving today if possible.
Meanwhile, the record snowfall for a March 14 in the Quinte region is 18.4 cm, set in 1997.
