Police had no problem finding commercial vehicles that were unsafe or improperly registered during an enforcement blitz earlier this week in the Quinte region.
OPP from various area detachments, along with the Kingston Police, stopped 52 tractor trailers, and ended up taking nine of them off the road.
Forty charges were laid under the Highway Traffic Act and two sets of licence plates were seized.
One transport driver was charged under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, one was charged with Distracted Driving and another was charged under the Tobacco Control Act.
