It’s gold and silver for the St. Theresa Titans hockey teams.
In a re-match of the Bay of Quinte finals, St. T’s girls skunked the Moira Trojans 2-0 in the final of the Central Ontario High School Championship. Hanna Scaletta and Carissa Walker scored with Whitney Morton getting the shutout for the Titans.
St. Theresa advance to the Ontario High School Girls’ championship tournament in 2 weeks in Stratford.
In the COSSA boys’ hockey final, St. Theresa lost 2-1 in double overtime to St. Peter’s of Peterborough. Dyson Cassidy scored the lone Titans goal.
The Ontario Girls’ High School “AA” Volleyball championships opened in Belleville yesterday. It was a tough start for both local schools in the 20 team event. The Nicholson Crusaders lost their opening games to schools from Ottawa and Woodstock. St. Theresa fell to schools from St. Catherines and Oshawa.
Games resume this morning at 8:30 at Nicholson, Quinte Christian and Loyalist.
