Belleville police were kept busy with collisions yesterday (Tuesday).
Late last night, a man was treated for minor injuries after being struck by a car on Lemoine Street.
Apparently, he was struck by a dark coloured Volkswagen on the sidewalk at 11:30.
The driver fled the scene.
Meanwhile, two vehicles were demolished on Airport Parkway just after 6 last evening. There were no injuries but an 18 year old Shannonville man was charged with careless driving.
A few minutes later, there was a two car accident at the intersection of Bell Boulevard and Wallbridge-Loyalist Road. A 94 year old Belleville woman was charged with making an unsafe left turn. No one was injured.
In total, there were 6 accidents in Belleville yesterday.
Meanwhile, a Belleville man was charged by city police after a window was broken in the downtown late yesterday afternoon.
The store window on Front Street was broken around 5 o’clock and police charged 38 year old Dan Reilly with mischief under $5,000 and breach of probation.
