No one will be shocked and appalled by the upcoming police budget for the City of Quinte West.
OPP Detachment Commander Christina Reive told the Police Services Board that the 2017 budget will be just $77,000 higher than last year’s, an increase of 1 percent.
Costs for the main OPP service contract is increasing just 0.6 percent, totalling $8,073,000 this year.
The budget to buy new and maintain current surveillance cameras in Quinte West is increasing by $75,000 this year.
