More details are emerging about an upcoming opportunity for fans to see their American Hockey League team in action on February 21.
Ottawa Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion, Assistant General Manager Randy Lee, Associate Coach Marc Crawford, Director of Community and Business Development Chris Phillips and Belleville Senators Chief Operating Officer Rob Mullowney were in the Friendly City Friday night, for the annual Chamber of Commerce President’s gala.
During a ‘Hot Stove Roundtable’ it was revealed the Binghamton Senators will be in Belleville for a practice likely at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre at 2 p.m.
Ottawa Senators Associate Coach Marc Crawford told Quinte News the community could be treated to more as well.
Lee beamed it’s amazing hockey and anyone who hasn’t seen an AHL game is going to be blown away at the caliber.
Also the Belleville Senators will be announcing ticket prices and packages soon.
Mullowney said a little over 2,000 people have requested seasons tickets and they will be announcing ticket prices in the next couple of weeks.
“We are very close to finalizing a ticket provider and until then we can’t build a manifest and talk about location,” he explained. “It’s my job to push that forward and we are just outside 30 days. First you will hear ticket prices, then ticket packages and options. Seat selections will be in May.”
He said while 2,000 season tickets have been called for they are shooting for more.
“If AHL is going to be strong in this market they need help from the business community and fans,” he admitted.
He also revealed that they are working on shirt designs and they should be ready in the next six to eight weeks.
Lee said once the Yardmen Arena renovations are complete the team will be ready to move into their new home November 1 2017.
