Belleville police were busy at Walmart yesterday, but not as shoppers.
Belleville officers were called to the store before 6 last evening after complaints about a shoplifter.
A man had taken off on foot.
Police chased down and arrested a 28 year old Belleville man and $700 worth of stolen goods were recovered. The suspect was also wanted by Kingston police for theft.
Meanwhile, at 9:30 last night officers returned to Walmart after reports of two males shoplifting.
Police chased one male through the store and arrested him.
Another man was arrested in the parking lot. One was a 24 year old Deseronto man, and the other, who had at first provided false identification was a 36 year old Napanee man.
He was also wanted by Napanee OPP for assault with a weapon and other charges.
Both men face several charges.
