The NHL’s mid term central scouting list is out and two players with local ties have been ranked.
Belleville native Shaw Boomhower of the OHL’s Mississauga Steelheads and a former Wellington Duke is ranked 123rd among North American skaters. The feisty Boomhower has 5 goals and 5 assists to go with 70 penalty minutes in 37 games.
Former Dukes goaltender Olivier Lafreniere is ranked 27th among North American netminders. Lafreniere has played in 23 games for the Ottawa 67’s. He has a 3.45 average with a .904 save percentage.
