Online traffic to the websites and social media platforms owned by the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board is way up.
Overall, website and social media traffic is up 175% from last year, as ongoing marketing campaigns both locally and in the Toronto area create interest in the Quinte region.
Executive Director of the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board, Dug Stevenson, says clicks online are one thing, but there is also hard data showing more people visiting and staying in the area and boosting the local economy by spending.
Meanwhile, the Regional Marketing Board will be made up of one representative from paying organizations plus a minimum of one member of an outside organization, to a maximum of 12 members.
