The body of a missing snowmobiler who drove into open water on a Peterborough area lake Wednesday night was discovered early yesterday afternoon.
The man was 51 and from the Township of Douro-Dummer, north of Peterborough.
He had been out snowmobiling with a friend on Stoney Lake when both their machines hit open water.
The other man managed to get out of the water and called for help. He was treated for hypothermia.
Firefighters from Selwyn used a sleigh to recover the unidentified man’s body yesterday.
